On Magic Keyboard models from 2020 onward and older scissor keyboards individual keycaps or scissor mechanisms can often be replaced. For butterfly keyboards the entire top-case must be replaced as the keycap assembly is too fragile. We advise after free diagnosis.
For most modern MacBooks the keyboard is riveted to the top-case which includes the battery. So keyboard replacement automatically includes a new battery on Retina, Touch Bar, and M1 to M5 models. This is a nice bonus — your MacBook gains new battery life too.
